    Notes for Speakers                         


Location

Entrance is via the passage opposite the Library or through the gates just around the corner in Ward Street.Meetings are held in the Friends Meeting House which is opposite the Library in North Street.
 

Facilities

The meeting room is on the ground floor and is well lit. Six frames are usually set up for displaying album sheets, each taking twelve sheets in three rows of four, allowing a maximum of seventy-two sheets to be displayed at one time.  

               Attendance  

Our usual attendance is around  ten  members, whose philatelic knowledge ranges from the complete beginner to the specialist.

        Programme  

The evening is divided into two halves with a break for coffee in the middle. In order to allow sufficient time for members to view the material displayed, fifteen minutes are reserved at the end of each half. This allows the speaker(s) thirty-five minutes in each half to describe their material.  

7.00 p.m.          Room available for setting up.  

7.30                  Meeting opens. President’s introduction and notices.  

7.40                  Speaker(s).  

8.15                  Coffee or tea and viewing of material on display.  

8.30                   Speaker(s).  

9.20                   Viewing of material on display.  

9.30                   Vote of thanks; meeting closes.
